Additional information: Recruiting for 1 x perm post

  • Plan and organise work in an economical and effective manor, making the best use of your available time, plant, transport and materials in accordance with specified company priority response times.

     

  • To carry out all types of Electrical work both internally and externally, including new installations, repairs, maintenance, fault finding, commissioning and remedial works in order to complete projects to customer satisfaction

     

  • To undertake pre-measuring as necessary in order to ascertain the nature of any work and facilitate its completion

     

  • Use any communication or IT equipment to facilitate the job role. E.g. receiving instructions, completing works orders, general communications and ordering materials.

 

  • To liaise as necessary with all trades operatives to ensure the implementation and completion of repairs and maintenance works on a first time fix basis

     

  • To make effective use of materials and ensure that any unused materials are returned to the stores.

     

  • Use all necessary tools plant and equipment associated with the post and duties undertake

     

     

  • Ensure that our Customers are at the heart of everything we do.

  • To read, understand and demonstrate a commitment to the Group’s Employee Charter.

  • To understand and mitigate the Group’s existing and future risks.

  • Expected to ensure compliance with all legal obligations concerning the protection of data concerning employees, customers and third parties.

     

  • To take responsibility for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), whilst following the Group’s Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.

     

  • To work in a variety of locations including premises not directly under the control of the Group

     

  • Some flexibility over working hours is necessary to meet the requirements of the job.

Experience

Significant demonstrable experience in an electrical position in a responsive repairs and or/building maintenance or similar organisation.

 

Experience of working in a multi-skilled environment in domestic, commercial and public building settings.

 

Completion of an electrical apprenticeship

 

Experience of effectively adhering to Health and Safety legislation, practices and procedures.

 

Experience of supporting and directing trade apprentices and work experience students operating on site.

 

Experience in operating effectively within customer care procedures

 

Experience in Social Housing
