Learning & Development
In addition to a fantastic reward package, First Ark offers a core learning and development programme which provides opportunities for employees in a range of areas including management development, customer excellence and coaching and mentoring techniques.
As well as classroom learning programmes we have our own electronic learning system called LIFE (Learning is for Everyone) which contains an exciting range of development opportunities which are available at all times – anything from creative skills to project management techniques.
All employees also have regular appraisals which we call ‘Success Reviews’ and are supported to progress their career with First Ark at the pace that’s right for them.
Volunteering & Fundraising
The opportunity to volunteer and get involved in charity fundraising is a key motivator for a lot of First Ark’s employees. We’ve made a commitment to allowing 500 days per year for employees to undertake volunteering activities which is a core element of our social value contribution. As well as the feel good factor, the volunteering programme has enabled our employees to learn some great new skills.
Every year our employees choose their Charity of the Year and we organise a range of fun and sporting activities to raise money for that charity which in the past 12 months has included sky diving, a bed push, numerous sports events and a clothes throw.
